Registry of basic substances

A basic substance is an active substance which:

  • is not a substance of concern; and
  • does not have an inherent capacity to cause endocrine disrupting neurotoxic or immunotoxic effects; and
  • is not predominantly used for plant protection purposes but nevertheless is useful in plant protection either directly or in a product consisting of the substance and a simple diluent; and
  • is not marketed as a plant protection product (does not require approval from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development).

The website of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development provides evaluation reports (Polish translation) on basic substances, including their characteristics and biological properties, the process of preparation for application, and the permitted scope of application.
